February vacation

February vacation program for kids ages 8-14

Looking for something fun this February break?

Studio of Engaging Math, in partnership with Coding Butterfly, is excited to offer  February Vacation STEM Program February 20th – 23rd!

Our program will challenge students to become active participants instead of passive consumers and give them the tools they need to become better architects of their futures. By structuring learning activities around the basics of computational thinking (analytical logic-based skills), students will become better able to learn the mechanics of adaptation and data evaluation that are required by all 21st century careers.

Registration
Advanced registration is required. Each student will have a reserved workstation for them, and therefore we will not be able to accommodate “drop-ins” and last minute registrations. To register, please fill out this form.

Tuition cost
The program is from 9am to 4pm. Early drop off and extended available:
2 Days: 195.00
3 Days: 290.00
4 Days: 385.00

Creative Coding Studio

Have you ever wanted to create your own animated character? Or compose your very own song? Or design the perfect video game? At Coding Program you can do all of these things as you learn computer programming through art, music and math! You’ll collaborate with other campers as you let your imaginations run wild!

3D Design

Design your own printable 3D models and then watch as they are brought to life! Our blocks-based programming interface makes it easy to quickly learn what you need to know in order to design and print Minecraft characters, spaceships, fidget spinners and more!

Chess

When you’re ready to take a break from the computer, you can step on over to the gaming section of the room and learn tips and strategies for improving your chess game from a professional chess instructor!

Math Puzzle Hunt

Math instructors from the Studio of Engaging Math will engage students in guided play (puzzles, construction sets, and geometric games) designed to develop spatial reasoning skills and improving both two- and three-dimensional thinking. They’ll also work to foster a love of imaginative problem-solving!
