Math Program
Over the past 20 years, Larisa Itina, studio’s director, has developed a unique program. Based on Russian and Singapore methodology, she adjusted the materials to be used in the United States. Studio’s curriculum covers a wide range of topics in arithmetic, geometry and logic.
We introduce students to areas of math that are not traditionally covered in schools. Our goal is to get students comfortable solving unusual problems that require lateral thinking.

Many children think of math as boring and dry, and they start developing math anxiety as early as first grade. We want to capture children’s interest now while they do not have any preconceptions about the subject. Educational games can make a lasting difference in a child’s later education.
We firmly believe that there is more to the math than counting and that math can be enjoyable and fun!
We believe that learning through play captivates children’s attention like nothing else.
Our classes foster children’s natural curiosity by exposing them to a wide range of mathematical riddles and puzzles, construction sets and mosaics, geometry and logical games.
Strategy and math games are perfect learning tools and can help make difficult concepts come to life.
Math Circle
Math Competitions Preparation Program
Grade 2 (in person), grades 3–4, 5–6 (online)
8 classes only!
We invite the strongest Studio students to participate in the program. It will ignite an advanced, unusual, non-standard, and creative approach to solving challenging problems.
During the course, students will learn how to analyze problems, master different methods, and use problem-solving strategies. We will apply this knowledge to real problems from various math competitions. We will also teach them how to optimize their time during math competitions and will practice writing timed tests. The program will help students successfully participate in math competitions such as Math Kangaroo, MOEMS, NOETIC, etc.
In the FALL program, we will be focusing on the problems from the NOETIC math competition, since the studio is running it onsite in November.
